The Festive period is almost upon us, and as the old saying going goes, ‘Tis the Season for Giving’
This year we are taking part in the Rotary Shoebox Scheme – “spreading a little happiness”
McLeods are challenging all of our team to donate at least one shoebox.
We would also like to challenge any of our customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors to also consider taking part.
Rotary have been operating the Shoebox Scheme for 25 years and have delivered more than 1 million boxes to communities in need, across Eastern Europe.
This Christmas, boxes will be sent and distributed across Ukraine, Moldova and Romania to communities and families in need.

There are four types of content for filling Shoeboxes:
- Toys – for boys and girls
- Baby – age up to 12 months and new mothers
- Teenager – for young people up to 18 years of age
- Household – for older folk and families
Derek Petterson, CEO commented, “We wanted to do something different this Christmas, to give back and to help communities less fortunate.
This will be the first time we have taken part in the Shoebox Scheme and we’re all looking forward to filling our shoeboxes.
I have personally challenged all of our team to take part and to donate at least one shoebox to the scheme.”
