The team at McLeod Glaziers was proud to sponsor the second Barrie Douglas Foundation sporting dinner, along with fellow Perth-based business, Dental Technique.
The event, held at Perth’s Salutation Hotel, raised a five-figure sum to support youth sports development.
The Foundation, set-up in memory of the Perth businessman who died captaining a Scottish team at the European Boys Championships in Spain, has been chosen as the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce’s charity this year.
CEO Derek Petterson said: “The Foundation is doing fantastic work supporting boys and girls across a range of sports. We are proud to support the charity.”
Blairgowrie Golf Club’s Scottish internationalists Gregor Graham and Cormac Sharpe were appointed ambassadors to the Foundation earlier this year, along with fellow member Katy Alexander.
All three have enjoyed a successful season, with Gregor pipping Cormac to win “The Race to the Machrie” event staged in Islay in tandem with Foundations teed-up by top pros Paul Lawrie and Stephen Gallacher.
Guest speakers at the sell-out dinner were Willie Allan MBE and Eric Davidson.
